Oriflame Essentials Fairness cream

I had seen this cream sold like hot cakes, the Oriflame reps often get these for their clients. I wanted to try a cream that is affordable & when I asked a friend of mine she suggested this.
I didn’t get this for the fairness claims by the company; I just wanted to try a cream at an affordable price & here’s my take on that.

What does Oriflame Claim about this cream: Light fast–absorbing cream leaves skin looking visibly fairer in 2weeks.

How to use: Apply to the face, neck & arms every morning & evening after cleansing.

Ingredients: AQUA, C12-15 ALKYL BENZOATE, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, ETHYLHEXYL METHOXYCINNAMATE, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, GLYCERYL STEARATE, PEG-100 STEARATE, GLYCERIN, CETYL ALCOHOL, CYCLOPENTASILOXANE, TETRAHYDROXYPROPYL ETHYLENEDIAMINE, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, PARFUM, CARBOMER, CYCLOHEXASILOXANE, IMIDAZOLIDINYL UREA, CETEARETH-20, METHYLPARABEN, PROPYLPARABEN, SAXIFRAGA SARMENTOSA EXTRACT, VITIS VINIFERA, DISODIUM EDTA, BUTYL METHOXYDIBENZOYLMETHANE, SODIUM METABISULFITE, SODIUM SULFITE, MORUS BOMBYCIS EXTRACT, SCUTELLARIA BAICALENSIS EXTRACT, CITRAL, BHT

Price: Rs.89 for 50 ml.

My Experience: The cream is neither too thick nor too runny in texture & gets absorbed fast & doesn’t leave any oiliness. A soon as I applied the cream, I thought it might be very heavy & oily but 2 minutes of massage & the cream sinks into the skin. The fragrance is very mild & not too overpowering. I have used this as a base when doing my makeup & it gets absorbed & serves as nice makeup base when I’m not using a tinted moisturiser & make the makeup look nice & bedewed. I’m sure about looking visibly fairer in 2 weeks claim by the company because I haven’t seen any such difference. All in all I’m happy that it does act as nice moisturing cream without any greasiness & I don’t regret buying this.

Reasons to adore this:
  1. It gets absorbed easily & doesn’t leave behind any greasiness.
  2. Serves as a makeup when you don’t want to use foundation.
  3. Affordable at Rs.89.
  4. Little goes a long way. I just need 2 drops of the cream for the entire face.
  5. Packaging is simple & travel friendly.
  6. Doesn’t cause any irritation & discomfort.
  7. Oriflame products are not tested on animals.
Reasons to abhor this:
  1. Will only suit dry skin.
  2. Has Parabens.
  3. I don’t agree to the “visibly fairer in 2 weeks” claim.
  4. Doesn't have SPF.
Will I recommend this? If you have dry skin & would like to have a face cream at affordable price, this might work for you.
