Tatha Foot Soak- Fresh Feet

Hi Beauties, Along with Foot cream, I have had the wonderful opportunity to write about the Tatha Foot Soak & here's my take on that.

What does Tatha Claim about the foot soak: This soak relaxes the feet & acts as a detox. It invigorates & stimulates the legs & feet.

Ingredients: Prunus Amygdalus, Pelargonium Radula, Citrus Aurantifoli, Cymbopogon Citratus.

A little bit about the ingredients
1. Prunus Amygdalus is the scientific name of Almond. It is rich in fatty acids, vitamins, minerals and proteins, and extremely nourishing for lacklustre skin, and promotes skin's soft, smooth, healthy appearance.
2. Pelargonium Radula is commonly called sweet leaved geranium soothes dry sensitive skin.
3.Citrus Aurantifolia commonly called  sour lime calms the nerves. Lime oil can stimulate and refresh a tired mind and helps with depression.
4.Cymbopogon Citratus commonly known as lemon grass or oil grass, revitalizes the body and relieves the symptoms of jetlag, clears headaches and helps to combat nervous exhaustion and stress-related conditions. It also is used for clearing up athlete's foot.

Price: Rs.360 for 30ml

My Experience: The first time I used this was when I went out for shopping & came back with tired feet. I put a few drops of this foot soak in a tub & relaxed on a chair, after a few minutes the foot soak turns slightly cold & gives you a soothing feeling & trust me you'll feel relaxed. The foot soak comes in a small glass jar of 30ml & one sniff of the foot soak & I couldn't easily make out the presence of strong essential oils, I guess these essential oils provide the soothing effect. After few minutes, the skin becomes soft & I used a pumice stone to scrub the heels to get rid of the dry skin. After scrubbing when I took my feet out, I could see that my feet were soft & clean. I like the foot soak because it soothes the feet & makes it feel rejuvenated.

Pros of the foot soak:
1. Relaxes the tired feet.
2. Removes all traces of dirt & dry skin.
3. Delivers what it claims! It acts as a detox & invigorates & stimulates the legs & feet.
4. Come in a lovely small recyclable jar to maintain it's purity.
5. Softens the calluses & dry heels.
6. Since it has got all natural essential oils & no preservatives, the shell life is 10 months from   the date of manufacture.
7. Paraben, Sulphate & Chemical free product.
8. The foot soak isn't sticky or greasy.
9. Tatha products are not tested on animals.

Cons of the foot soak:
1. Comes under the category " Higher end product" because of the price.
2. It's not mentioned in the instructions how much amount of the foot soak has to be used, I used 4-5 drops.

Final Verdict: This is very effective foot soak to rejuvanate your feet & get rid of tiredness. It works well for people who  have a problem of smelly feet.

NOTD- Lotus Herbals Color Dew Nail Enamel- Steel Glaze(944)

Hello Beauties, Yeah I know, of late I haven't been posting here, Apologies for that!
So to bring back some color to the blog posts, here's NOTD
It's the Lotus Herbals Color Dew  Nail Enamel in shade Steel Glaze(944). This is how it looks

Steel Glaze is like a pinkish mauve color with subtle itsy-bitsy silver shimmer which can be seen upon careful observation. It's quite sheer, I applied 3 coats of it. The formula is thin but goes very smooth & non-streaky in application. The color is quite pigmented & starts to fade after 4 days.
As the name Steel Glaze suggest it's a very nice quick drying shiny nail enamel. Do you  like this?

Alright, here’s my take on the Foot cream!

What does Tatha claim about this Tatha Heeled Feet –Foot cream: To remove dead skin, refine feet, cobat foot odour and perk up circulation a daily application of foot cream is necessary.

Ingredients: Olea Europaea, Beeswax, Mentha x Piperita, Melaleuca Alternifolia, Lavandula Angustifolia.

I checked the ingredient information & this is what I found from google.

Olea Europaea- is a subspecies of olive, it’s good for mature, dry, or sensitive skin types.

Beeswax also retains properties that sooth and soften skin, making it a perfect ingredient for lotions because it will keep skin moisturized. The properties in beeswax work as a soothing and healing agent in salves designed for burns, cuts and other wounds.

Mentha x Piperita known as Peppermint , when applied topically, has a soothing and cooling effect on skin.

Melaleuca Alternifolia  also known as  Tea Tree Oil  fights fungal nail infections, jock itch and athlete’s foot. Tea tree oil is effective in fighting Trichophyton, the fungus that causes a number of topical infections such as athlete’s foot and jock itch.

Lavandula Angustifolia also known as English Lavender.  Lavender essential oil is highly regarded as an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory,it reduces stress , speeds up wound healing, soothes & relaxes the mind & body.

Directions for use: Take the desired quanity & apply with gentle massaging strokes to your foot & legs. Massage on till the cream is totally absorbed by the skin( approximately 2 minutes)

Price: Rs. 1,250 INR for 50gm

My Experience:  I have been using this cream for sometime & decided to write a review. This cream comes in 50gms blue colored glass tub & the color of the cream is lemony. The cream is rich in texture because of all the natural ingredients especially the essential oils, it’s oily & will take a few minutes to get completely absorbed. I usually apply this cream at night & after a few minutes massage would wear socks & go to sleep. The next morning my feet would look moisturised & hydrated. Since this has pure ingredients, it takes some time to heal the cracked feet; one can’t see an overnight change in the way they look. Though this looks like a small tub, after using it for several days, there is still large amount of cream left in jar. All in all, this is a very nice cream to keep the feet nourished & get rid of dryness without worrying about the ingredients because it’s made of all safe ingredients & right now this a must have product for my Foot care regime.

Pros of the foot cream
  1. All the ingredients used are pure and natural & soothing.
  2. It is handmade & comes in recyclable sturdy glass tub to maintain its purity.
  3. Paraben, Sulphate & Chemical free product.
  4. Doesn’t have an overwhelming fragrance to irritate the nose.
  5. A little goes a long way.
  6. Regular usage of the foot cream will leave the skin moisturised & get rid of dryness.
  7. Shell life is only 10 months because this doesn’t have any preservatives; it’s all natural & safe.
  8. Packaging looks elegant, it’s a sturdy glass jar & has a lid made of a very good quality plastic.
  9. Tatha products are not tested on animals.

Cons of the foot cream
1.    Comes in a tub, so you need to sanitize your hands before applying.
2.    Can’t be used as a day time cream for feet! Since it has all natural essential oils, it’s little oily & there are chances of staining your footwear.
3.    Expensive at Rs.1250 but considering it is pure & natural it’s worth it.

Final Verdict: If you need an all natural & pure cream to keep your feet & legs soft & hydrated this is definitely for you! But if you have severe dry & cracked feet, you need to have patience because it takes time to heal it.
