Dermalogica special cleansing gel

I have received these samples from Dermalogica long time back & have used them for a considerable amount of time & thought it was time to write my experience using them.


A little about how Dermalogica was formed: While the Dermalogica story begins in 1986, the force of change in the industry started in Los Angeles, circa 1983. Jane Wurwand, a tenured, United Kingdom-trained skin therapist new to the American “esthetician” industry, recognized that continuing skin and body therapy education was practically non-existent in the United States. While her training had been comprehensive and serious, US students entered the industry licensed yet under-trained, and worse, under- respected.  
Jane put her education in action, opening a small classroom in Marina del Rey, California under the name The International Dermal Institute (IDI). She invited licensed skin therapists to get hands-on with the postgraduate training so critical to making them competitive in the business. Today, IDI is considered the international gold-standard for postgraduate skin and body therapy training with over 40 locations worldwide.
While teaching at IDI, it didn’t take long for Jane to realize no product line embraced her belief of skin health as opposed to “beauty,” so she developed her own. And in 1986, Dermalogica was born.


Dermalogica special cleansing gel is a Concentrated, soap-free, foaming gel designed to thoroughly remove impurities without disturbing the skin's natural moisture balance. Contains no artificial fragrance or color.

How to use: Gently lather a small amount of the gel in moistened hands & apply to dampened face & throat. Rinse with warm water.

sensitivity.

My Experience with the Dermalogica special cleansing gel:


Packaging: This cleansing gel comes in classy white colored bottle with a greyish colored cap.
Texture: It's a clear liquid gel which is runny in texture & lathers good enough.
Fragrance: It is not too scented, just has a hint of mint which isn't too over-powering. My skin is very sensitive to scented products but I'm glad this was very mild & didn't irritate my skin.
Cleansing : This clear gel lathers well & cleanses the skin to get rid of dirt & grime & gives you squeaky clean feeling. It is non-irritating gel & rinses off easily & doesn't leave a film behind. One just need a small amount of it to cleanse the face & the neck, so a single bottle will come a long way.

Mositurising:  Though it says it is suitable for all skin conditions, I think this would suit Oily-Combination skin. People with dry skin will find this little drying & may have to lock up the moisture with a good moisturising cream.The company suggests after cleansing this has to be followed by Multi active Toner & Dermalogica moisturiser. It will not bother sensitive skin & people with oily skin would love to use this during summer.

Enchanteur Perfumed Shower Gel-Charming

Hi Beauties, I have been sent out the Enchanteur Perfumed Shower Gel  Charming which is marketed & imported by Wipro Ltd & here's my take on that.

What does the company Claim about this Shower Gel: The rich foamy lather with its unforgettable lingering fragrance moisturizes & cleanses, leaving you feeling refreshed & beautifully clean.

My Experience with the shower gel: 


Packaging: The shower gel comes in a off-white colored bottle, it's the regular packaging of the Enchanteur products. The bottle is sturdy & has a flip cap to control the flow of the shower gel. The bottle is travel friendly & can be carried when you are on a vacation or travelling for other purposes. Since this doesn't come in a see through bottle, you may not know when you run out of it someday.


Texture: The shower gel is thin in texture & appears like a transparent brown gel. It's very runny & lather wells.

Price: Affordable at Rs.140 INR for 250 ml, Also available in 500ml. The 250 ml will last for at least a month & half with regular use.


Cleansing & Mositurising: Since the shower gel lathers good enough, it cleanses the skin well but you end feeling that a soapy film is left behind & have the urge to rinse it again & again. It neither dries out or moisturizes the skin.

Fragrance: This is the most disturbing thing about the shower gel. Unlike the body lotions & body talcs from Enchanteur, this doesn't smell anything like flowers, to me it smells like a strong men's shaving cream. 


Final Verdict: This is an ordinary shower gel, nothing extraordinary about it, the fragrance is very unappealing & is major turn off. I would have ignored the soapy film part had it been a pleasant smelling shower gel. However I would suggest their hand & body lotion & talcs since they are little better than this.

It looks very girly & it's light & fun to carry it around. I could use all the keys on the phone without any difficulty.

Tips & Toes is a well known brand of cosmetics in India. They have a wide range of products for Eyes, Nails, Face , Lips & they have a special range called "On the Go" 

Here's a little info about the company

Alright, now let's talk about this eye shadow quartet

According to the Company: The Exotic Eyes Eye shadow palette blends instantly &

My Experience with the quartet:  I didn't choose the shade & the company randomly sent

the Envious Green shade quartet & I'm glad I got this because I love the green shades in it.

Packaging: The quartet comes in a steel casing & has a mirror & a sponge applicator inside & looks very sleek & travel friendly. The outer casing of the quartet is made of a paper case . I like the packaging a lot.

Color: The color are super gorgeous metallic colors.The Envious Green Quartet has 4 shades- 2 green colors on the top, one is like khakhi green & the other one is a light green, the bottom row has silver & black color shades. The most pigmented of all the shades is the black, this black can be used to create gorgeous smokey eyes. The colors are good for either day or night time look.

Ingredients: The ingredients are listed on the outer steel casing & here’s a picture of that.

Texture: The texture of these powder eye shadows is smooth & glides easily however you 

would need to keep picking up the color 2-3 times from quartet to get the exact pigmented color one looks for, just one swipe wouldn't be enough to get the desired look. These shadows have micro shimmer which isn't too obvious & doesn’t look over the top. The eye shadows don't flake off onto the cheeks or all over the eyes, they just fade away.

Staying Power: The staying power of the colors isn't too good, they start to fade soon but the black color stays little longer when compared to the other colors, it is the most pigmented of all of them. But looking at the price this quartet is available for, I'm kinda ignoring the fact that these don't have great staying power.

Final Verdict: It’s a nice quartet for beginners, it’s very decently priced & you could use the four colors to create different looks. Although the staying power isn’t too great, to make them last little long you could use a nice eye shadow primer. I would recommend this to girls who are on tight budget & can’t afford high end brands but the only constraint is since these are powdery eye shadows, it will be hard to build up but will be good for practice.
